The Company recorded comprehensive income of $118,626 after a one-time, non-cash charge of $294,356 related to debt financing as compared to a loss of $42,043 for the same period in fiscal year 2005. The Company attributes its improved results to the assimilation of new acquisitions undertaken during 2005 and its attempt to curtail costs by consolidating operations of certain subsidiaries. Road traffic is the fastest growing source of pollution in Europe, Austria, France and Switzerland and in some countries more people are dying as a result of this air pollution than are being killed in accidents, health experts said on Jan 15, 2006 . According to the World Health Organization (WHO), an extra 21,000 premature deaths per year from respiratory or heart diseases are due to vehicle emissions which are more than the total number of annual traffic deaths in three countries combined.

“The growing evidence is that air pollution is causing a major health burden, and we need to address this head on,” stated Dr. Carlos Dora of the WHO.

A new report from the respected Environment and Forecasting Institute in Heidelberg, Germany puts the car right back at the center of the transport debate and raises fundamental questions about a society increasingly adapting itself to the car. The German analysts take a medium-sized car and assume that it is driven for 13,000 km a year for 10 years. They then compute its financial, environmental and health impacts “from cradle to grave.”

Long before the car has got to the showroom, they find it has produced significant amounts of damage to air, water and land ecosystems. Each car produced in Germany (where environmental standards are among the worlds highest), produces 25,000 kg of waste and 422 million cubic meters of polluted air in the extraction of raw materials alone, say the Heidelberg researchers. The transport of these raw materials to Germany and around the country to factories produces a further 425 million cubic meters of polluted air and 12 liters of crude oil in the oceans of the world (for each car). The production of the car itself adds a further 1, 500 kg of waste and 75 million cubic meters of polluted air.

Calculations of the impact of a car in use make the generous assumption that the car has a three-way catalytic converter and uses 10 liters of lead-free petrol for every 100 km. Over 10 years, the Heidelberg researchers believe that one car will produce:

– 44.3 tons of carbon dioxide;
– 4.8 kg of sulfur dioxide;
– 46.8 kg of nitrogen dioxide;

The cartridge, located inside the vehicle’s muffler shell, has three separate chambers inside of it. The first chamber works as a regular muffler unit system that reduces noise pollution. The second chamber has a very high electrostatic voltage device that produces non-thermal plasma technology and tears the exhaust emissions into pieces, at which point they are forced into the third chamber, a condensation chamber.
